Project Assistant in Research Project
Gaskeuniversiteete/Mittuniversitetet is located in the heart of the South Sámi area in Saepmie. The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences is a cross-regional institution with operations at Campus Sundsvall and Campus Östersund. The activities include research and education in subjects such as English, Gender Studies, History, Criminology, Literary Studies, Social Studies, Sociology, Political Science, Swedish as a Second Language, and the Swedish Language. Research is conducted within each subject as well as within the Risk and Crisis Research Center (RCR), the Forum for Gender Studies (FGV), and DEMICOM.
Job Responsibilities
The project assistant will work in a research project focusing on contemporary back-to-nature movements. Responsibilities include administering research activities such as recruiting and scheduling research participants and conducting interviews.
Your Background
We are looking for someone with a Master's degree in Sociology or equivalent, as well as experience in conducting research-related tasks. You should be able to perform administrative tasks that require an understanding of, and the ability to use, both Swedish and English. Good proficiency in reading, writing, and discussing research-related issues in English, as well as experience in conducting independent analyses from a critical perspective, is an advantage.
Your Qualities
The position requires collaboration with colleagues within the project, which is why good teamwork skills, social competence, and strong communication skills are essential.
Employment and Start Date
The position is a special fixed-term employment covering 50% of full-time starting from 2026-04-01 or by agreement. The employment lasts for six months, until at most 2026-10-31.
